Citrus Crop Fertilizer and Care Schedule

1. January–February (Before Flowering):
   Apply 250–200 grams of fertilizer if DAP (Diammonium Phosphate) has been applied earlier.
2. If Applying Urea (46%):
   Apply in three parts, starting from December or after applying well-decomposed FYM (farmyard manure) in the root zone.
3. January–February (Remaining Dose):
   Apply the remaining portion of urea or any other base fertilizer.
4. At Fruiting Stage (April–May):
   • Apply MOP or SOP (100 grams).
   • Alternatively, apply the remaining NPK 15:15:15 (if used earlier).
   • This helps in fruit flushing.
5. Avoid Full Urea Dose During Flowering /Fruiting:
   • Applying full urea at this stage leads to vegetative growth and reduction in fruit/flower yield.
   • If necessary, apply half the dose (e.g., 250g → 125 g, or 50g is enough).
6. Water Management:
   • Apply less water depending on weather conditions to prevent tree stress during summer.
   • Water stress during fruiting causes flower and fruit drop.
7. After Fruit Formation:
   Apply the remaining dose of urea and NPK, previously divided into three parts.
8. Fertilizer Application Technique:
   • Apply fertilizers 2–3 feet away from the tree trunk, in the root zone area.
9. At Flower Formation Stage:
   • Spray 3–5 ml of Boron and 5–10 ml of zinc per 1 liter of water, or you can also Apply powder form of zinc and boron.
10. After Tree Pruning:
    • Apply Cuperval (Bordeaux mixture) by Agpharma to prevent gumosis and insect attack.
    • During september if yellow colour appeared on citrus then applied fungicide and nitrophois 500 grams of nitrophos in two doses
11. April to September:
    • Avoid water stress during this period to ensure healthy fruit development.

If an acre has 110 kinnows:

Nitrogen 55-60 kg, phosphorus 30-35 kg, potash 55-60 kg and farmyard manure 3 tons.
