Arysta Success 720 WP (often marketed as Success 72 WP) is a premium, broad-spectrum fungicide developed by Arysta LifeScience. It combines both systemic and contact properties to deliver highly effective preventive and curative action against a wide range of destructive fungal diseases in agricultural crops.

1.Foliar Spray Application:250 - 400 grams per Acre.

Thoroughly mix the required dosage of the wettable powder in 100 to 120 liters of clean water. Apply as a foliar spray at the first sign of disease onset or as a preventive measure when weather conditions (high humidity and moderate temperatures) favor fungal outbreaks.

2.Repeat Application:Intervals and Coverage.

Reapply every 7 to 14 days depending on the severity of the disease pressure. For dense crop canopies, use the higher dosage rate and ensure uniform spray coverage over both upper and lower leaf surfaces so the contact fungicide can form a complete protective barrier.

Emergence & Early Vegetative Stage

Days 15–30

Strategy: Base Protection

Apply a purely contact fungicide, such as Mancozeb (e.g., Dithane M-45) or pure Propineb, at 7–10 day intervals. At this stage, the plant is small, and systemic penetration is less critical. The goal is to establish a protective barrier on the early leaves against wind-borne spores.

Rapid Growth & Canopy Closure

Days 35–50

Strategy: Systemic Defense (First Success 720 WP Application)

Apply Arysta Success 720 WP (250–400g/Acre). As the plant rapidly produces new leaves and the canopy closes, contact sprays cannot reach the inner foliage. The systemic Metalaxyl in Success 720 WP absorbs into the plant tissue, protecting new, unsprayed growth from within, while Chlorothalonil coats the outer canopy.

Tuber Initiation

Days 55–70

Strategy: Resistance Management (Rotation)

Switch to a different systemic or translaminar fungicide group to prevent the blight from developing Metalaxyl resistance. Excellent rotational options include Cymoxanil + Famoxadone (e.g., Equation Pro) or Dimethomorph + Mancozeb.

Bulking Stage (High Humidity)

Days 75–90

Strategy: Late-Season Curative (Second Success 720 WP Application)

If weather conditions become highly conducive to blight (prolonged rain, high humidity, cool nights), apply the second and final dose of Arysta Success 720 WP. This halts any latent infections that bypassed earlier defenses and keeps the foliage green to maximize tuber sizing.

Senescence & Pre-Harvest

Days 90+

Strategy: Tuber Protection

Stop using systemics. Switch to a heavy contact protectant like Fluazinam (e.g., Shirlan) or pure Chlorothalonil. This kills spores on the soil surface, preventing them from washing down into the soil and rotting the tubers before harvest.
