Lambda-Cyhalothrin operates by targeting the nervous system of insects. It binds to voltage-gated sodium channels in nerve cells, preventing their closure. This action leads to continuous nerve impulses, causing hyperexcitation, paralysis, and ultimately, the death of the insect. The insecticide exhibits both contact and stomach action, making it effective against pests upon direct contact or ingestion. Additionally, it possesses repellent properties, deterring pests from treated areas.

ICI Aikido is utilized for controlling a wide range of insect pests across various crops:

· Crops: Cotton, rice, vegetables (such as brinjal, tomato, okra), pulses (like chickpea, pigeon pea), groundnut, mango, and others.

· Target Pests: Effective against bollworms, jassids, thrips, leaf folders, stem borers, aphids, cutworms, armyworms, and other lepidopteran and coleopteran insects.

· Application: Applied as a foliar spray, the recommended dosage varies depending on the crop and pest severity. For instance, in cotton, a dosage of 300-500 ml per hectare is suggested, while in rice, 250 ml per hectare is recommended.
