MAP is a phosphatic and nitrogenous fertilizer in its chemical combination , it is acidifying in nature the nitrogen present in it makes it acidic in nature. These two nutrients both chemically alter the nature the soil. MAP is acidic fertilizer very important for potato crop. It is also a replacable for DAP in sodic or saline sodic soils , waterlogged soils and act as a good source for supplying extra posphorus for root crops such as stem tubers and cereals.
